Our story
“I aim for less material, fewer details, and more clarity.”

- Arvis Sprogis, Founder & Lead Designer -
Formagnifica is a Northern European furniture studio led by Arvis Sprogis, an award-winning designer recognised in both architecture and furniture design. Arvis has over 25 years of experience crafting timeless furniture for residential, commercial, and hospitality interiors. With the precision of a designer and the vision of an architect, Arvis approaches furniture through structure, proportion, and clarity. His work is guided by one belief: that great design should feel essential, never excessive.
Formagnifica stands for quality and the handmade. In a time of immediacy and disposable culture, we value longevity, clarity, and thoughtful design. Based in Latvia, our studio and workroom support local craft and regional materials, producing every piece with care and precision.

Our work is shaped by a tradition of craftsmanship and a commitment to design that brings lasting value to the spaces we live in. The studio works with steel, wood, glass, stone, and leather — chosen for their structural qualities and the quiet contrasts they create.
Nothing is added for effect — only for purpose. Steel often plays a supporting role. Wood brings warmth. Stone and glass add balance and clarity.
Honest and true, always.
